Blog Customization

31 Mar

Over the past year I have received a number of inquiries about Blog customization, namely WordPress and Tumblr customizations. Everyone wants to know the pros and cons of using these types of Content Management Systems (CMS) as full sites. I think they are great ideas and customizations are becoming easier and more stylistic (even better – budget friendly). Drawbacks are few, but it is always good practice to go over individualized pros and cons for every website before taking the dive into the “blog as a full website” pool.

I am currently working on a number of projects utilizing WordPress customizations and will have some imagery to post in the Portfolio soon.

Tumblr…what’s with this blog? I just completed my first custom Tumblr design and am quite pleased with what this “little” blog has to offer. Perfect for writers, photographers, journalists, music buffs and the like, Tumblr is a great microblog platform. Think of it as a hybrid of WordPress meets Facebook meets Twitter. Below is my newest Tumblr creation.
